Apprenticeships are a great way to get a new career started or to develop a current one. You are able to work and become skilled in the role whilst gaining a qualification throughout the process. An apprenticeship is a combination of work, training and studying so that you are learning and earning at the same time.

At MTR Elizabeth line, we have given all new Customer Experience colleagues and Trainee Train Drivers the opportunity to enrol into an apprenticeship programme alongside their roles. For most, the programme is completed within a year and involves applying theory to practical work.

Since we started operations in 2015, around 500 apprentices have either started or completed one of our programmes.
